What Vishwaas Ki Ek Raat collects

This is a playtest build. While we are testing, anonymous gameplay data is collected by default — we have not asked you first, and you should assume a session is being recorded. Everything else on this page still holds: nothing that identifies you is collected, and you can switch it off at any time under Why we built this on the title screen. The public release will ask before collecting anything.

If you decline

Nothing leaves your device. Ever. No account, no identifier, no events. Your progress is stored locally on your own device and nowhere else. Every part of the game remains available to you — declining costs you nothing.

If you allow

We create an anonymous account for your device through Firebase Authentication. It is a random identifier. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number, social accounts, advertising ID, or anything else about you. We could not identify you from it if we tried.

Against that identifier we record how the maze is played:

• Which depth you reached, and how a run ended
• Deaths and what caused them — a pit, spikes, a spider, the hunter
• Which choice you made when the bound one offers you one
• How many rounds of the mantra you completed, and whether by voice, tapping or typing
• Whether you took the demon's bargain, and how often
• Whether you escaped the stomach, and with how long to spare
• Steps taken, wall collisions, and how often you reversed direction
• Your screen size, whether you're on a phone or desktop, and the app version

What we never collect

• No microphone audio. When you chant, speech recognition happens on your device or through your operating system's own recogniser. We never receive, record or store audio.
• No personal information — no name, email, phone number or contacts.
• No precise location. We never request or receive GPS or device location, and the app asks for no location permission. Analytics does derive a coarse region from your IP address — country or state level only — which is described below.
• No advertising identifiers. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how many people play and where they stop, but every advertising signal is switched off — ad storage, ad personalisation and ad user data are all explicitly denied. Your data is never used to build an advertising profile, and we run no ad networks.
• No photos, files, or anything else on your device.

Analytics

With your permission we also send the same gameplay events to Google Analytics for Firebase. It records an app-instance identifier, your device model and operating system, and a coarse region derived from your IP address (country or state level — never a precise location). This tells us things like how many people reach depth four and where the game loses them.

Advertising features are disabled. If you decline, or later switch the setting off, analytics collection is turned off at the source and nothing further is sent.

Where it goes

To Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Analytics), acting as our data processor. Google's handling is governed by their Firebase privacy documentation. We do not sell, rent or share this data with anyone, for any purpose.

Changing your mind

Open Why we built this from the title screen. The setting is at the bottom and you can switch it off — or on — at any time. Switching it off stops all collection immediately and discards anything still waiting to be sent from your device.

Deleting your data

Because the identifier is anonymous, we need it to find your records. Email us from the address below and we will tell you how to read it off your device, then delete everything associated with it. Uninstalling the app or clearing your browser data also permanently severs the link — the anonymous account cannot be recovered afterwards.

Children

This is a horror game and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country).

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act and the GDPR — you may have rights to access, correct or delete your data, and to withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent is one tap, described above. For anything else, write to us.
